What to Expect
Everything you need to know about Flavor – Dan Kluger
This cookbook is set up like a traditional cookbook. It has 10 chapters with 6 of them categorizing the types of food and their recipes. Every recipe has a takeaway that highlights a technique being used. Take note that each recipe is split into components making it easier to visualize and create the dish. The index really helps in finding recipes that use a specific ingredient. This book really shows the reader how they can find flavor.

Pros and Cons
Pros:
Each recipe has a “Takeaway” section where it reexplains a technique used in a recipe or a component of a recipe that can applied to other recipes.
The cookbook is strong in vegetarian recipes, making it friendly for vegetarian cooks and readers.
Cons:
Many of the recipes in the book may seem complex with the many components making it hard to label these recipes as a quick make recipe.
Although a great book, some of the recipes require a certain degree of skill to perform these techniques which can prove to be intimidating.
Final Thoughts
This cookbook is great for anybody looking to enhance their skill and flavor palette. I recommend this book for creative and home cooks. This cookbook teaches you to approach flavor with confidence.
